Solar at school

An important place that represents Earth-friendliness and the fight against global warming is the community school or college. With students and teachers promoting these convictions, it is only right that a local establishment has its own solar power system.

Australian schools are now eligible for the National Solar Schools Program in the fight against climate change. Institutions will be given grants amounting to $50,000.

The department page at http://www.environment.gov.au/settlements/renewable/nationalsolarschools/project-steps.html has all the information on signing your school up for the National Solar Schools Program.

The grant may be used completely for the installation of the maximum capacity possible or may be split between an installation of a solar power system (min 2kWh of solar panels) and other activities or projects. All quotes are available once you have registered for the program.
